A joyful place, inspired by a friend

The Greatest Happiness

by Jodi E. Stone

The Path to Gearhart
I have spent sometime thinking about joy lately.  I want to personally dedicate this post to all of you who are finding joy in your own way and following a path to your own right livelihood.  I recently went throughout a wave of grief that I seemed to feel in every cell of my body.  After that, I came to understand that I have found such pure simple joy on this path to Gearhart beach.

I take my dog, we head to the beach and experience pure bliss together.  I also experience great happiness when I am laughing "way out" loud too.  The simple peace I feel walking on this particular stretch is remarkable.

I have watched a dear friend run like down this beach with sheer abandon and smiled on both the inside and outside every time.   So, as technology pulls us into its never ending vortex....I am going to plan to experience more joy and take up people's offers to co-create joy more often.

My plan is to re-evnision my path to Gearhart at home.  Friends will remain friends and clients will notice that I will be encouraging them and supporting them to find their peace of mind, their personal happiness and their right livelihood.  Today is the first day that I am going to embark on a journey to offer my gifts via telephone or tele-conference.

If you or someone you know is in need of a channel and an intuitive to help them understand which direction might be best, please feel free to refer them to me.

My pricing is very simple: $95 an hour

Jodieve Goes on Black Out for World Naked Bike Ride in Portland, Oregon

I was free to be me and so was everyone else there!
Personal interviews will be forthcoming at the request of the event organizers or the documentary film crew.  If they want to reach me, they may contact me via text at 503.888.5663.  Any one who signed for consent and has re-thought their decision may also give me their name and contact information to revoke their permission at anytime.  All copyrights will be protected by Jodive.com 2012 (C).

The video clips were shot without an agenda and people were allowed to express themselves freely without inhibition.  Their opinions expressed were as a result of their authentic feelings and are neither guided by me or the event organizers.
They spoke freely and with passion and then rode naked or nearly naked through Portland, Oregon...."just to keep it weird if for no other reason." The mood was uplifted, elevated and seemed to put a little people in a happy mood in place where the sunshine on the inside and we take a lot of vitamin d, for the most part.

I would like to know your opinion about my posting these videos on my blog.  Please post your requests @Jodievestone on Twitter and let me know if you think that my posting  the videos will be helpful or hurtful to those who volunteered and signed waivers to voice their opinions while in a private area is a whirlwind of enthusiasm and adrenaline?   Find out what motivated these folks to go "on the record."  When my Twitter account hits 1000.  I will post the videos by consensus, not for myself or the prying eyes of anyone who just wants to be a peeping Tom.  If you join the RSS Feed to this blog, you will be notified of the posting date.  Check back in few days to see the results.

Thanks,
Jodi

Mayor Bloomberg has spoken....

I support finding solutions to our obesity problems and hope that big business will heed the warnings the leaders in our country who want their children and families to stay happy and healthy.
Please save our food supply, water supply and air supply! We are just all so vulnerable really.

PORTLAND, OREGON TECH JOBS HERE!!!!

Rider Relaxing before the World Naked Bike Ride In Portland in 2011,  I could swear this gentle soul was my 1-1 tutor

Ok, so you made it to my blog...awesome!  There is so much good stuff here besides the tempting photos of the bold and daring Portlanders who rode in the World Naked Bike Ride in Portland, Oregon.  However, cool these photos are...the point of my blog is to demonstrate to folks who say there is a limited supply of jobs in Portland are so wrong!!!

This is not where young people go to retire.  This is where brilliant people go to get away from LA and SF to be able to bike to work and live a healthier more organic lifestyle.  Why else would such cool companies move here?

So, the trick to making a life here is to understand the labor market.  What we need here are Tech Wizards, Gaming pros and all around cool people who would rather code in a hammock than a ware house.   The business leaders who are creating start ups here get what the benefits they need to have to create a work environment for creative people.

Although I don't really drink  beer, one company offers beer once a project is done.  Another offers snacks, daily workout time, childcare  and a host of other amazing productivity enhancers.

So, to prove a point, I have already posted a few job openings on my site.  The funny thing is that I have had only a few daring bold polite people actually pick up the phone and call me about an opening.

Guess what, I will answer.  Unless I am in a meeting.  Folks are so numb from leaving unanswered voicemail messages and sending in online applications without a response that they are getting kind of exhausted trying to get these jobs that are there for the picking for those with certain skills.

On the employer side, HR folks are still feeling like their pride will be hurt if they have to offer someone a few bucks to find them a "real" catch.

So, how do we solve this problem?  My suggestion is an invitation only event where Tech Wizards, Gaming pros and Graphic Designers all bring a Power Point Presentation and we auction off interviews with you to the companies who really need you?  I have the venue all picked out, the food and booze will soon be selected.  Now, all we need is the talented folks who need a job and the companies willing to grant or pay a fee to have the chance to meet you face to face.

It is like speed dating, but different.  I have a celebrity auctioneer all picked out, the tech guy to project the portfolio.

If you would like the date and location of this secret event.
All you have to do is ask and have your portfolio ready to GO!

Just make a PowerPoint presentation with your first name only and use your real last initial to brand the presentation.  I will need a few major local or not so local sponsors to cover a few costs.

This is GOING TO WORK~!  I dare one single job searcher to call me and put their name on the list!  I dare one single employer to sponsor this event.  Here is my personal cell phone number.
Call me when your portfolio is ready or if you are an employer call me if you are ready to cut through all the resume and find your people!  Nike?  Wanna sponsor this and turn it into one of those amazing RAVES you create in that warehouse in the Pearl?

Call me, I won't bite,

And yes, I too need a great graphic designer! Don't even bother googling it yet!

P.S.
To the well meaning control freak who keeps taking my job postings on LinkedIn and moving them, C'mon...it is not helping!
They will here now, exclusively.
